Candles- A lighting guide since the medieval age

Candles have always been a source of light since wax was introduced. It has its own significance for different religion. According to Christianity, a lighting candle is a representation of the Almighty who consumed Himself to give light to those who lost the rightful direction in their life and also to protect them from committing sins. Altar candles are kept on the high altar in the church or they are kept near the altar. These are burnt in mass celebrations or any other type of celebration in the church. Another type of Candles is Christmas Candles. According to the traditional Advent Calendar, December month (four weeks prior to Christmas) is marked with the celebrations in lieu of Jesus’s arrival in this mortal world.
